KATHMANDU: Minister for Education Giriraj Mani Pokharel has instructed the subordinate bodies for a probe into a fatal incident that took place in Taukhel of Lalitpur where a fallen wall killed two students and injured at least 24 others.

Minister Pokharel instructed Bishwa Prakash Pandit, Secretary of the Ministry of Education, for the investigation after inspecting the incident site and taking stock of the injured children at the B&B Hospital and the Patan Hospital this evening.

Two students had died on the spot while at least 24 had sustained injuries when a wall nearby Pushpanjali Boarding School of Taukhel, Lalitpur had collapsed.

Minister Pokharel extended condolences to the deceased students' families and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured ones, according to Jagrit Rayamajhi, Personal Secretary to the Minister.
