Modi likely to visit Nepal on June 25, tweets PM

KATHMANDU: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given his word to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala to come to take part in the international donors’ conference scheduled for June 25 in Kathmandu, according to a post on Prime Minister Koirala’s Twitter account.

The two prime ministers had held a telephonic conversation on Thursday after Nepal’s Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat, on behalf of Prime Minister Koirala, handed over an official invitation to Modi in New Delhi earlier in the day. “Talked to Indian PM Narendra Modi over the phone. Has given words to come for donors conference on June 25th, so far possible,” reads PM Koirala’s tweet.
