MoHA to step up monitoring of its agencies

Kathmandu, August 19

Minister of Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa today said the ministry would step up monitoring of all agencies under the ministry.

Speaking at a programme organised at the MoHA to review the outcomes of the fiscal 2017-18, Minister Thapa pledged to carry out monitoring of all departments and divisions and expand its scope to ensure effective service delivery. He also directed the chiefs of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Department of Immigration, Department of Prison Management and others to make their employees discharge duties professionally.

According to the MoHA, Minister Thapa also instructed them to work in close coordination with one another. “Peace, security and good governance are not possible without coordination and collaboration among concerned agencies,” he said.

Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai directed the officials to be determined for result-oriented performance.  Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and other departments of the MoHA had presented working papers on budget and programmes of last fiscal.
