More funds pour in PM Relief Fund

KATHMANDU: Various organisations donated funds to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to support earthquake victims and to rebuild nation on Sunday.

The Butwal Power Company donated Rs 4.5 million to the fund today.

Uttam Kumar Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of the BPC handed over the cheque of that amount to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at his residence in Baluwatar.

Among the support, Rs 4 million has been provided by the BPC and Rs 500,000 by the Hydro Consultant, assistant company of the BPC.

The staff of the BPC had already provided Rs 418,449 and staff of the Hydro Consultant donated Rs 217,962 to the earthquake victims.

BPC Chairman Paddha Jyoti, operator Chandi Prasad Shrestha, Bijay Krishna Shrestha, Radhe Shyam Shrestha, Tika Ram Shrestha and Padma Hari Gyawali and Chief Executive Officer of the Hydro Consultant Manohar Shrestha were presented on the occasion.

Similarly, the Nepal Feed Association donated Rs 2,000,000 to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund today.

Narayan Hari Khatri, Chairman of the Association handed over the cheque of that amount to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at his residence this morning.

Shree Krishna Ghimire, Rabin Puri, Sanjeeb Chandel, Mukunda Silwal and Madan Thapaliya of the Association were present in the programme.

The Association had donated Rs 8,111,111 to the fund on May 27, 2015.

Likewise, the Siddhartha Finance provided Rs 660,000 to the fund.
