MoU between Namseoul University and FNJ

KATHMANDU: An agreement was signed between Namseoul University from South Korea and Forum of Nepalese Journalist (FNJ) on Wednesday at District Coordination Committee, Kathmandu.

Addressing the signing ceremony, representative of Namseoul University, Professor Eun Sil Kim stated that their' wish to share university courses and conduct research in Nepal.

"Currently, in the Namseoul University, seven Nepalese students are studying psychology. We are opening a scholarship programme for Nepalese students for Master in Rehabilitation Counseling. This particular subject hasn't taught here. So, we want to teach this course to Nepalese students and to set up here as a centre when they return, they would have a job here," she added further.

Likewise, Nepalese professor Srijana Thapa, who is the mastermind behind MoU ceremony shared that it was a huge discussion about MoU with media organization instead of any University. "But what I believe is this organization is a strong forum to depict the Nepalese education system. In the past, we conducted Sandplay therapy and workshop through this platform in post-earthquake to earthquake victims."

"Although, we are media person such cooperation is beneficial to all. Now, officially, we can recommend interested students who want to learn psychology," opined Yubaraj Bidrohi, President of Forum of Nepalese Journalist.

Namseoul University, located in Cheonan city, established in 1993 as a private University. It is opening its branches globally.
