KATHMANDU:  An absconding man accused of murder attempt has landed in police net.

A team of security personnel arrested Bajir Jimba aka Jimba Tamang from Banasthali of Kathmandu on Tuesday morning, the Metropolitan Crime Division said.

Tamang was among a group of assauters that attacked Surya Bahadur Gurung and Jeevan Chaulagain with sharp weapons at Gongabu Bus Park area at around 11 pm on March 21, according to police.

He was on the run since then.

The suspect is a permanent resident of Thangpaldhap VDC of Sindhupalchok district and currently residing in Banasthali-16, Balaju.

He has currently kept at the custody of Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj, for further investigation.
