KATHMANDU: Resolving a one-year-old murder case, the Nepal Police today arrested the culprit while he was committing a rape. The police arrested Dhan Bahadur Chauhan, who was involved in crime.

Superintendent of Police Ganesh KC told The Himalayan Times that the accused was arrested from the same location where he had committed the crime last year. "Since the accused was at large after committing the crime, the police have solved the mystery," KC claimed, adding that Chauhan had murdered Anil Gurung of Dhapasi on March 26, 2009. Since then he had escaped from the police.

"A police team had arrested him from Boudha. He was caught red handed while raping a girl but the identity of the victim cannot be disclosed," added KC.
