NC forms mass meet organising committee
Kathmandu, January 5:
The Nepali Congress (NC) today formed a mass meeting main organising committee with party vice-president Prakash Man Singh as its coordinator to step up preparations for the upcoming mass meeting to be held here on January 14.
The mass meeting to be organised here by the Nepali Congress will be addressed by the top leaders of the seven parties to give the message to the people that the Constituent Assembly election will be held by mid-April.
Party spokesperson Arjun Narsingh KC, central member Krishna Prasad Sitaula, party central members, district presidents and lawmakers of the Bagmati zone are other members of the Nepali Congress Mass meeting organising committee, a party statement issued today after a party meeting said.
The Nepali Congress has also directed its district organisations to coordinate and assist other parties to hold their respective rallies and mass meetings in several districts.
The CPN-UML will hold a mass rally in Biratnagar on January 19, the Nepal Sadbhawana Party in Bhairahawa on January 21 and the CPN-Maoist in Dhangadi on January 24.
While the Janamorcha Nepal will organise a mass rally in Janakpur on January 26, the Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party and the United Left Front will hold their rallies in Nepalgunj on January 28 and in Birgunj on January 30 respectively.
