NC refuses UCPNM proposal

KATHMANDU: The ruling party Nepali Congress has expressed its dissatisfaction on the amendments made by the main opposition party UCPN-Maoist on the joint proposal prepared by ruling allies--NC and UML.

The dissatisfaction of NC surfaced in a meeting between NC and UML at the parliamentary party office of NC in Singha Durbar on Tuesday. Speaking with reporters NC PP leader Ram Chandra Poudel said the recent amendments made by UCPN-Maoist show that they were not in favour of retracting their demands though they had become more flexible. Responding to reporters’ queries Poudel said that they were not able to accept all the demands forwarded by the UCPN-Maoist.
