NCP set to form policy and criteria on inducting new CC members
KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is set to formulate policy and criteria on nominating new members in the party's 441-member Central Committee (CC). It has been learnt that this would be finalised within the next two weeks.
The unified party, which has a 45-member Standing Committee, does not have a politburo. It has already formed a nine-member Secretariat with Bishnu Paudel as the General Secretary.
The party is also set to finalise the location for its central office within the next two days. The central offices of the then CPN-UML and CPN Maoist Centre were inspected on Friday. NCP's central member, Krishna Gopal Shrestha, said the central office could be located at Dhumbarahi while the people-organisations' offices could be setup at Parisdanda.
Lawmaker Shrestha also added that NCP would hold its Parliamentary Party meeting at the federal parliament building today.
