The Nepal Cancer Relief Society (NCRS) on Monday celebrated its silver jubilee function with a note against smoking and promise to expand its service more extensively in the rural areas of the country. At a programme organised to mark the day, Diwakar Raj Karnikar, president of the NCRS and Prof Dr Jeff Dunn, executive director of the Cancer Council Queensland, Australia, signed a memorandum of understanding to support the human resource development for the treatment of cancer. The NCRS since 1982 has been lau-nching several progra-mmes against cancer.
