Nembang backs transport people

KATHMANDU: Constituent Assembly chairman Subas Chandra Nembang today expressed solidarity with the “genuine demands” put forth by the Federation of Truck Tanker and Transport Entrepreneurs Nepal (FTTTEN). He urged business leaders to extend their support for the timely drafting of the new constitution.

Nembang was addressing the sixth Annual General Assembly of FTTTEN here.

“Time is running out for the CA to meet the May 28 deadline for the promulgation of the new constitution. Transport entrepreneurs can play a vital role in helping the

government and political parties draft it within the stipulated time,” he said.

Transport entrepreneurs alleged that the government was paying little or no attention at all to their plight and complained they were compelled to run their business under the ever increasing threats from non-state bodies and sister organisations

of various political

parties.
