Nembang wants boundaries settled first

KATHMANDU, July 11

Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Chandra Nembang on Saturday said he was pushing the leaders of major political parties to settle the remaining issues of federalism and other issues raised by various groups while preparing the final draft of the new constitution after collecting people’s feedback.

Talking to reporters on the premises of the Constituent Assembly on Saturday, Nembang said, “Before settling the thorny issues of the new constitution, the leaders used to say they would resolve all the issues within two hours. Now, they have settled many issues and can settle the remaining issues, mainly the demarcation of boundaries within half- an-hour.”

The leaders have promised to make maximum effort to settle the issue of boundaries of the Pradeshes before the new constitution is promulgated, he said.
