Nembang’s ruling

KATHMANDU: Speaker Subas Chandra Nembang on Wednesday ordered Home Minister Bamdev Gautam to address the concerns of the lawmakers about the killing of three people in Surkhet district on Monday and share with them the measures the government had taken in the wake of recent landslides and bus accidents.

Nembang made the ruling after members of Parliament — Tapta Bahadur Bista, Hari Prasad Nepal, Dilli Prasad Kafle, Abdul Razzak, Durga Paudel, Radha Krishna Kandel, Laxmi Prasad Pokharel, Bir Bahadur Balayar, Sita Nepali and Sushil Kumar Shrestha — demanded the government’s response to the incidents of arson and vandalism, police action against protesters and natural calamities and vehicle accidents.

The Parliament is scheduled to meet at 11:00am on Thursday.
