NA soldiers hurt in blast
KATHMANDU: Five army personnel were injured when a hand grenade accidentally went off during a training session on the premises of Bhairabnath Battalion of the Nepal Army on Friday morning.
Condition of one of them is said to be critical and she has been admitted to the intensive care unit of Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.
According to Spokesperson for Nepali Army Gokul Bhandari, four of the injured, including two women, had suffered minor injuries and were undergoing treatment at Army Hospital, Chhauni. The training was part of non-officer rank basic unit course.
He added that the tutor was fiddling with pins of the grenade for a practical demonstration to the trainees. Nepali Army did not reveal the names of the injured army personnel.
