KATHMANDU: Nepal on Thursday condemned the terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University in Pakistan on Wednesday.

At least 20 people, mostly students and teachers were killed and many more wounded in the attack.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “Such atrocious act of terrorism in an abode of knowledge and learning is highly condemnable.”Nepal also extended heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the victims of this terrorist attack, their families as well as to the friendly people and the government of Pakistan.

“Nepal condemns terrorism under any guise and in all its forms and manifestations.

We strongly believe that such heinous acts cannot be justified on any ground,” read the statement Nepal also reiterated its full support to Pakistan’s efforts to counter terrorism and bring the culprits of this terrible crime to justice.
