Nepal condemns terrorist attack outside UK Parliament

KATHMANDU: Nepal on Thursday condemned the terrorist attack outside the British Parliament that resulted in the loss of five lives and scores of injuries on Wednesday.

In a message sent to his British counterpart Boris Johnson, the Nepali Foreign Affairs Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat said Nepal would condemn terrorism in all forms and manifestations.

He expressed solidarity to the UK on behalf of the Government of Nepal and its people, stated a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.

"I would like to convey deepest condolences and sympathies to you, and through you, to the bereaved family members," he wrote, "I wish an early recovery of those injured."

"I believe that the perpetrators of this act will be brought to justice at the earliest," he concluded.
