KATHMANDU: The 11th national convention of the Nepal Students Union, the student wing of the main opposition Nepali Congress, is going to take place in the Capital on August 7-9.

The decision to this effect has been made after suggestions of the NSU central committee members in the ongoing meeting of NSU central committee, shared the wing's spokesperson UP Lamichhane, adding that the official decision on the same, however, would be taken tomorrow.

"Since a majority of the central committee members recommended organising the convention in the Capital city owing to the monsoon season," he said, "We have decided so."

A total of 3,400 NSU representatives from all over the country are expected to participate in the convention.
