KATHMANDU: The Nepali Army, which is undertaking post-blast investigation into types of explosives used in bombing near Ncell office at Nakkhu and Angan restaurant at Kamalpokhari, on Sunday said that, highly explosive ‘Neojel 90’, which is used for commercial purposes, was planted at the restaurant.

The NA also said that the bomb was remotely controlled. A bomb disposal squad of NA had defused the bomb, while another IED placed at Nakkhu near Ncell office went off, killing one and injuring two on Friday night.

According to Yam Prasad Dhakal, spokesperson for the Nepali Army, “The IED placed at Angan restaurant could have caused a huge damage.”

He said Neojel 90 was also used in a couple of blasts during the 2017 elections.

Similarly, the NA has not yet confirmed what kind of explosive was used at Nakkhu.
