Nepali Congress central committee meeting being held tomorrow

KATHMANDU: A meeting of Nepali Congress Central Committee is being held for the first time after the recently held elections. The meeting will be held at Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar.

According to newly appointed party spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma the meeting will be focused on National Assembly elections. "The meeting will primarily focus on National Assembly elections and then move on to an analysis of the party's defeat in the recently held provincial and parliamentary elections," Sharma tweeted.

Recently, party President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba was under immense pressure from all sides to call a central committee meeting and even a special convention to scrutinise and discuss reasons behind party's defeat in the elections.
