Nepali Congress leader Birendra Dahal no more
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Birendra Dahal passed away at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu on Saturday evening. He was 67.
Dahal, who worked as close aide of Girija Prasad Koirala and Sushil Koirala, suffered from diabetes, and infection of kidney and liver, according to the party. He hailed from Panchthar district.
The NC President Sushil Koirala draped the party flag on Dahal's body to pay tribute to the late leader today.
Dahal was unmarried.
The party said Dahal would be cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat today.
