KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress has taken lead while counting votes in ward 1-7 of Lalitpur Metropolis today.

According to the vote count updates, NC mayoral candidate Chiribabu Maharjan has so far obtained 6,0084, Hari Krishna Byanjankar of CPN-UML 5,779 and Ramesh Maharjan of Sajha Party 3,459, shared Chief Returning Officer of Lalitpur Metropolis Bal Mukunda Dawadi.

NC candidate Geeta Satyal is taking lead on deputy mayor with 4,647 votes against 3,475 votes of Sajha Party candidate Shiva Shakya.

Likewise, Rastriya Prajatantra Party deputy mayoral candidate Babukaji Thapa has secured 2,317 votes  Hasina Shakya of CPN Maoist Centre has secured 1,985 votes.
