KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari bid farewell to French Ambassador to Nepal Martine Bassereau in Kathmandu on Monday.

A meeting was held at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas, for the farewell.

According to a statement released by the President’s Office, they discussed the history of cordial relationship between the two countries and expressed to continue the support and goodwill in the future.

President Bhandari thanked and praised Bassereau for her contributions and achievements during her stint in the Himalayan nation.

Bassereau was appointed the French Ambassador to Nepal in October 2013.
