New Force issues code of conduct
Kathmandu: Former Maoist leader Baburam Bhattarai led New Force on Saturday issued a 30-point code of conduct for its campaigners through its first meeting of Interim Central Council. The ongoing ICC meeting said New Force would be developed as an alternative political force to fulfill the needs of new Nepal. According to the ICC, it has also made a five-point pledge to strive for independence, equity-based prosperity, proportionate and participatory democracy and good governance. Today’s meeting of the ICC has also finalised the ideological basis of the new force. “The new force would be a socialism-oriented left-democratic force,” reads the statement issued by the ICC today.
