New govt to reconsider recommended guvs, names of ad hoc 'workstations': UML chair Oli
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli today said that the new government would reconsider the governors of the seven provinces and names of seven temporary provincial workstations recommended by the incumbent government.
In a press conference organised at the Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival from regular health check-up in Thailand, UML chair Oli said that the government has taken the decision to appoint state heads and provincial temporary headquarters (PTHQs) albeit late which is welcome but UML hasn't reached consensus on the places and names.
On being asked if the new government would revoke the decision, former prime minister Oli said the government then would take appropriate measures.
The UML chair reiterated that the delay in formation of new government was against the democracy and the statute as people have already given the mandate through their votes. He clarified that the two communist parties UML and CPN Maoist Centre would move ahead for merger process very soon.
UML Chair Oli who had left for Bangkok, Thailand for his regular health check-up has returned home today.
