New Indian envoy calls on Oli

KATHMANDU: The newly appointed Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri paid a courtesy call on CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, in Kathmandu on Monday.

In the meeting held at the party's Parliamentary Party Office at Singhadarbar, the duo discussed mutual interests and continuity of the historical relations between the two countries, said the party's Chief Whip, Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal.

Meanwhile, the main opposition leader Oli said that his party had been making efforts to provide rights to people through implementation of the Constitution, which was achieved after people's democratic struggles.

Earlier, the Indian envoy had presented his letters of credence to President Bidya Devi Bhandari yesterday.
