Ninth National Art Exhibition on Baisakh 2

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) is set to organise the Ninth National Art Exhibition on Baisakh 2, 2076 BS.

Modern and traditional artefacts, sculptures, folk art objects, handicrafts and other creations from across the country will be put on display, said the organiser at a press conference.

In this regard, a 67-member main organising committee has been formed under the chairpersonship of the NAFA chancellor KK Karmacharya.

For entry into the exhibition, the artefacts should have been created within the last two years and should not have been entered in any national level exhibition, said Karmacharya. These artefacts should be registered within March 29.

 A winner in each stream will be given ‘the national fine arts award’, which carries a cash prize of Rs 60,000.

Likewise, two winners will receive a special award. The award carries a purse of Rs 25,000. A winner from each state will be given a state special award. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000.

Similarly, the fine arts writing award and the fine arts journalism award will also be distributed on the occasion. Each of the awards carries a purse of Rs 25,000.
