KATHMANDU: Nepal Notary Public Association elected 17-member working committee in the capital recently.

The association has elected Advocate Bashanta Bahadur Basnet as its new chairman. Advocates Saligram Pandey, Ram Lal Sutiryar, Akthar Ali Ansari, Baburam Bhushal and Bal Krishna Gaire have been elected as the association’s vice-chairmen from five development regions.

The others elected officials are advocates Madan Kumar Dangol, general secretary and Yuba Raj Pokhrel treasurer.

The newly elected chairman of the association said his committee would work for making the profession more prestigious and trustworthy. The tenure of the working committee will be for next three years.
