NRNA provides drugs to government

KATHMANDU: As committed earlier, Non-Resident Nepali Association on Tuesday provided a shipment of general and live-saving medicines to the Government of Nepal.

Shesh Ghale, NRNA president, handed over the medicines to Minister for Health and Population Ram Janam Chaudhari amid a function organised in the capital.

The medicines provided to the government are worth Rs 3.8 million. Though NRNA had decided to provide medicines worth Rs 30 million in the first phase, it could not hand over the stated quantity of drugs to the government due to transport obstructions.

More drugs will be handed over to the government after they arrive in Kathmandu from India, China and Bangladesh, it said.
