NC lawmaker Ranjit Karna attacked, suspects NSU men's involvement

KATHMANDU: An unidentified gang on Tuesday morning allegedly attacked Nepali Congress lawmaker Ranjit Karna, who is also the president of Nepal Students Union, at his residence in Handigaun.

Organising a press meet, Karna suspected that some members of the NSU could be behind the assault. According to him, the ones who orchestrated the attack might want to defame him.

He urged the authorities to immediately identify and arrest the ones behind it.

The NSU spokesperson, UP Lamichhane, has condemned the attack and urged the police to take action against those involved in the attack.

Karna’s condition is normal.
