'Nuclear Bill-2075' passed
KATHMANDU: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Giriraj Mani Pokharel, has presented the 'Bill on Safe and Peaceful Use of Nuclear and Radioactive Materials, 2075' in today's meeting of the House of Representatives.
Presenting the bill, Minister Pokharel said that it would help achieve the goals of prosperity through developed technology by implementing the commitments made by government at an international level.
Presenting his objection notice for a decision on the bill, Prem Suwal said any company or person should not be allowed to manufacture arms. The meeting rejected the objection notice of Suwal with majority.
Similarly, the meeting approved 'Civil Servant Adjustment Ordinance-2075', presented by Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Lal Babu Pandit, with majority.
Lawmaker Gagan Thapa asked the meeting to reject the ordinance, saying the ordinance was brought against the spirit of federalism.
On the other hand, Minister Pandit urged the lawmakers not to doubt the ordinance as it was introduced in line with the democratic process.
