NWPP Maharjan pulls out of Prez race, two candidates remain

KATHMANDU: Nepal Workers Peasants Party (NWPP) central member Narayan Maharjan on Tuesday withdrew his nomination for the post of President.

He had filed his nomination for the election of President this afternoon.

Maharjan was proposed by Party leader Prem Suwal as a candidate for the presidential election, and was seconded by Dilli Prasad Kafle.

Now, CPN-UML Vice-Chair Bidya Devi Bhandari and Nepali Congress leader Kul Bahadur Gurung will lock their horns for the post of President.

The election has been scheduled for tomorrow.
