Oli hopeful about end of crisis with new govt

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Saturday said that existing political problems would come to an end with the formation of new government.

UML Chief Oli said that a majority government would be formed soon, if a consensus was not reached within a week.

Oli was speaking at a meeting organised by UML youth wing Youth Association of Nepal (YAN) here in the Capital today.

On the issue of economic blockade seen at Indo-Nepal border points, Oli said that the blockade would ease soon through talks.

"Efforts are on to end the blockade through dialogues and relations between Nepal and India will strengthen further," he said, adding that landlocked country Nepal has a right to access to sea routes.

He also added that Nepali people are happy with the promulgation of the constitution even amid the recent blockade.

"Wrong deeds are being committed to spread rumours that the constitution fails to ensure rights of the Tarai people and such acts should be stopped," he said.

On a different context, he stressed on the need to resolve internal disputes surfaced in the YAN, urging the organisation to move together for nation building.
