Oli setting bad example: NMA president

KATHMANDU: Dr Mukti Ram Shrestha, president of Nepal Medical Association, has criticised the prime minister for visiting a luxury hospital in Singapore for the treatment of a kidney-related ailment.

“The PM has set a bad example and his move contradicts the socialism advocated by him. The PM should have sent the message that kidney ailments can be cured in the country.” He added, “There is cheap and accessible treatment for kidney patients in the country. By going abroad for treatment, Oli has shown the level of trust he has in doctors working in Nepal.”
