KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli urged the main opposition Nepali Congress to cooperate with the government in implementing the Constitution as the government had come up with a detail schedule for the same. Inaugurating an interaction programme organised by the High Level Administration Reforms and Implementation Committee in the Capital today, he said that the government was seriously working out to implement the Constitution. He argued that the Cabinet meeting on Thursday had issued a schedule to hold the elections of local, federal and central bodies by 2018 January. PM Oli meanwhile also directed the Local Bodies Reconstruction Commission to prepare the report as soon as possible. Speaking at the function, General Administration Minister Rekha Sharma had urged the senior leaders of major parties to be serious for the implementation of Constitution, adding that the government was working out in this regard. CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel said that the Constitution implementation should not be limited in the speech of the leaders. Likewise, Nepali Congress leader Kamala Panta expressed dissatisfaction on the Constitution implementation schedule prepared by the government claiming that it was issued without the consent of the opposition Nepali Congress. CPN Maoist Centre leader Dev Gurung suggested strengthening the bureaucracy to implement the Constitution. Chief Secretary Somlal Subedi stressed addressing the financial aspects for federalism, inter-governmental coordination while implementing federalism in order to end political transition. Chairman at the High Level Administration Reforms Committee, Kashiraj Dahal, stressed forming a Public Administration National Policy to implement the federalism. Presenting the working paper on the occasion, Prof Dr Krishna Pokharel said that the parties should show the unity for the implementation of Constitution. Local Bodies Reconstruction Commission chair Balananda Sharma shared that the Commission was working on its assignments.
