One died, three injured in road mishap in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: A motorcycle rider was killed and three others sustained minor injuries after two motorcycles collided at Kamaladi, Kathmandu in the wee hours of Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Prakash Subedi of Satdobato, Lalitpur.

Subedi was riding the motorcycle (Ba 74 Pa 3301) with a pillion rider Chirayu Subedi (20) of Imadol when it was hit by another two-wheeler (Ba 67 Pa 4400) that Yudhin Rai (20) of Chapagaun and the pillion rider Abhishek Raj Pandey (19) of Baneshwor were riding on.

The critically injured Subedi was rushed to Kamaladi-based Himal Hospital which referred to the TU Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj where he breathed his last.

Police have impounded the motorcycles and are carrying out further investigation into the incident.
