KATHMANDU: Police on Saturday arrested a man in possession of one kg marijuana.

The suspect has been identified as Ram Kumar Nagarkoti (33) of Paiyuntar, Kapan in Budhanilakantha-19 of Kathmandu.

Police said that they have also confiscated plastic bags used for packing the weed.

Acting on a tip-off that Nagarkoti had been selling marijuana by cultivating it around his house, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Sector, Kapan, had nabbed him yesterday.

Police said that they have also destroyed 185 plants of the drug.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, said police.
