KATHMANDU: A man was arrested for stealing GI pipes worth Rs 120,000 from Chandragiri on the western outskirts of Kathmandu on Saturday.

Sangeet Man Tamang (28) from Chabahil of Kathmandu was arrested while he was loading stolen GI pipes on his vehicle, police said.

The man had stolen the GI pipes kept there to construct the Martyrs Memorial Hospital in Chandragiri Municipality-9, according to police.

Meanwhile, four other suspects fled the scene and police have launched a manhunt.

Further investigation is underway.
