Lalitpur, June 26:

The Dean’s Office at Institute of Engineering (IOE) today formed a five-member committee under the leadership of Dr Govind Pokhrel to find a solution to the demands forwarded by the student bodies.

The committee was formed after the Free Students’ Union of Thapathali Engineering Campus and Purwanchal Campus organised a protest programme to press their charter of three demands.

The students have demanded that students from Diploma in Engineering should be given 100 per cent quota in BE entrance examination, re-examination of Engineering Drawing of Automobile faculty and increase of teachers’ quota for computer and electronics diploma.

The students today submitted a memorandum to Dr Ram Krishna Poudel, Dean at IOE, while holding a sit-in at the Dean’s office. Poudel said that the Dean’s office would work to solve the problems.
