Parties plan to make Wednesday talks decisive
KATHMANDU: The High Level Political Coordination Committee has planned to make tomorrow's talks with Madhes-based political parties decisive.
The HLPCC coordinator and UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday held informal consultations with three major political parties and the agitating ones.
During the talks with the protesting parties, coordinator Dahal was given a message that the parties were ready for striking an agreement on the disputed issues if the government came up with a concrete proposal on the issues of demarcation of federal provinces, determination of electoral constituencies and proportional and inclusive representation, according to Dahal's personal secretary and party central member Chudamani Khadka.
Dahal was learnt to have requested the ruling and opposition parties informally to sit for talks with a confidence of finding a solution to the problem.
Informal talks with the agitating parties went positive and all sides were univocal on sorting out problems immediately, added Khadka, quoting coordinator Dahal.
