Parties urge EC to hold by-election in August
Kathmandu, June 12:
Representatives of political parties today urged the Election Commission to hold by-election in August.
At an interaction with the EC, most of the political leaders advised the EC to make preparations to hold the polls right after the rainy season ends.
CEC Bhoj Raj Pokhrel informed the leaders that citizenship certificates could be used as identity cards for the purpose of casting votes during the by-election.
He also proposed using electronic voting machines.
