Pashupatinath area being cleaned

KATHMANDU: Pashupati Area Development Trust in coordination with Australia-based Khem’s Cleaning Services is running a special clean-up campaign on the premises of Pashupatinath temple.

According to PADT, the campaign is running for the past one-and-a-half months. Member Secretary at PADT Dr Pradip Dhakal said the special cleaning campaign was launched with the aim of making Pashupatinath premises clean through use of advanced cleaning method.

“The result of the campaign can be seen along the western entrance of the Pashupatinath temple and its vicinity,” said Dhakal, adding that the clean-up campaign would continue until Shivaratri, which falls on February 13.

According to director at Khem’s Cleaning Services Khem Sharma a few cleaners from his company have been training around 30 cleaners involved in cleaning the Pashupatinath area.
