KATHMANDU: A person died in a road accident at Basundhara in Kathmandu valley on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Tek Bahadur Majhi (40) of Sindhuli district.

The incident took place when a passenger bus (Ba 3 Kha 9690) collided with a taxi (Ba 1 Ja 3808).

Majhi died on the way to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

Similarly, Uddhav Poudel of Mahottari and another unidentified person were also injured in the incident. They are receiving treatment at the Basundahara-based Green City Hospital, said police.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Yogendra Singh Thapa at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj, said that investigation into the incident was underway by arresting drivers of both vehicles.
