Plan to make office disabled-friendly

Kathmandu, February 17:

The Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare at Singhadurbar is making its infrastructure more accessible and friendly for the physically challenged.

The ministry building does not facilitate the installation of modern technologies to make it more accessible for the physically challenged.

“We have decided to install a re-usable knot-bolt steel system access ramp as an immediate solution to the problems dogging the physically challenged. The ramp will be placed in the ministry’s courtyard and will be linked up to the first floor,” said Mani Prasad Rai, chief, Singhdurbar Secretariat Re-construction Project.
