Plane makes rough landing
Kathmandu, August 29:
Nearly 60 passengers on board an Indian Airlines flight from Kolkata received a jolt when the pilot of the aircraft made a rough landing at the Tribhuvan International airport here this afternoon.
The airport authorities deployed fire brigade as soon as the Air Traffic Controller noticed smoke emanating from the landing gear as the aircraft landed. As soon as the aircraft came to a halt all 55 passengers onboard and eight crew members disembarked safely. Indian Airlines sources said there was no damage to the aircraft’s landing gear. As a result of which the aircraft left on its return flight to Kolkata later in the evening.
