PM a total failure, says minister Shakya

Bhaktapur, January 10:

Minister for Industry Asthalaxmi Shakya today said Maoist chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ was a total failure in leading the government.

While inaugurating the first annual general meeting of Naulo Saving and Credit Cooperatives at Chhaling of Bhaktapur, Shakya said, “PM Dahal has completely failed to maintain law and order situation in the country and to lead the government by taking the political parties into confidence.”

She said the government had also failed to rein in the sister wings of the ruling parties. She said the sister wings of the ruling partners were creating anarchy by calling bandh and strikes in industries. “It is a shame that the sister wings of the main ruling party have been forcing the closure of industries,” the UML minister added.

Bandhs and strikes called by the workers’ unions affiliated with the parties in the government were pushing the industries to the brink of collapse at a time when they were already affected by load-shedding, she said.

She also criticised UML leader and Home Minister Bamdev Gautam and said, “Security situation in the country is worsening day by day. The government has not been able to curb crime and anomalies.”
