PM Dahal stresses effective, result-oriented state mechanisms
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has stressed effective and result-oriented functioning of state mechanisms and structures.
Addressing at the 14th anniversary of National Vigilance Centre (NVC) in Kathmandu, PM Dahal said that state structures should be effective and result-oriented so that people could feel the good governance.
The state bodies should be modified so that people can easily take services from it, he added.
Saying that people are ultimately powerful in a democratic system, PM Dahal also accepted the responsibility of government to make public services accountable. He also promised to support the NVC to strengthen it in coming days.
The recently elected PM Dahal informed that implementation of the Constitution with an amendment, conclusion of the peace process, post-earthquake reconstruction, good governance and economic prosperity together with effective public service would be priorities of the government.
Saying that his premiership this time was a challenging opportunity, Dahal also expressed his commitment to contribute his fullest for the country and people.
