PM holds talks with Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal met Pushpa Kamal Dahal, chairman of UCPN-Maoist in a private residence at Koteshwor on Monday.

According to the PM the talk which lasted for half an hour dealt with the reduction of the transitional political phase of the country. They also talked about the peace process and constitution drafting process. Nepal further added that he found Dahal very optimistic and believed that consensus would soon be reached. According to sources they also discussed the draft proposal presented by the Nepali Congress and the UML about reaching a common ground to reopen the disrupted House.

Hesila Yami, a Maoist leader was also present at the meet.

Dahal already met President Ram Baran Yadav and Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala earlier.
