KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal inspected the Nepal Army (NA) air force unit in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu on Sunday morning. Defence Minister Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Finance Minister Surendra Pandey and their ministerial secretaries accompanied the PM on his visit.

According to sources, the high level visit follows the NA demand for around Rs 1 billion for the maintenance of a dozen grounded helicopters. Recently the NA has been operating minimal flights due to the lack of maintenance of the choppers.
