PM meets EU envoys, DPM
KATHMANDU: The representatives of the European Union on Saturday morning conferred with Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal at the latter's residence in Baluwatar.
The meeting basically dwelt on the precarious political scenario and the peace process. EU representatives also sought the government's steps to endorse the budget for the fiscal year 2009/10 at a time when the Maoists are continuing with the House obstruction. It has been reported that the EU representatives also discussed implementation of the aids that Nepal is receiving from them.
Meanwhile, the PM also met with Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadar in the PM's residence, Baluwatar on Saturday before the meeting with the EU representatives. The meeting between the duo also dealt with the budget endorsement and the Maoist threat to announce the third phase protests.
